MIOX^® in Brake Pads and Linings

Minerals like Iron Oxides and Wollastonites are common ingredients in friction materials formulations. Wollastonite provides best performance advantages when they have a high aspect ratio. MIOX^® is mainly used as a mild abrasive in NAO or low metallic formulations due to its moderate hardness and excellent temperature stability. Its lamellar structure supports a stable coefficient of friction and is the biggest performance difference compared to commonly used granular iron oxide.
